Terms of Use
Widget · Last updated 13 October 2026
Widget is operated by Cheung Pak Wai (“we”, “us”). These terms are the agreement between you and us. By installing or using the app, you accept them. If you don’t, don’t use the app.
What Widget is
An app for designing widgets and showing them on your Home Screen, Lock Screen and Control Center. Widgets are drawn by iOS, which decides how often each one is refreshed, so a widget can be a little behind: a clock or countdown may lag by a minute or so, and a calendar may take a while to show a new event. Please don’t rely on a widget where the exact time or an up-to-the-minute calendar matters.
Your widgets are your responsibility
Your widgets are stored only on your device. We keep no copy, so we cannot restore them. If you lose your device or delete the app, they are gone unless they were in a device backup.
What you put in a widget is up to you. Use only photos and text that you have the right to use.
Using the app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use Widget on your own devices. Please don’t sell or redistribute the app itself, or pass off a modified copy as ours. The templates, themes and other designs in the app are ours; the widgets you make with them are yours to use and share.
Pro
Widget is free to use, with no ads and no subscription. Pro is an optional purchase:
- One payment, not a subscription. You pay once and are not charged again. The price is shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
- What you get: the free version keeps one widget at a time. Pro removes that limit, so you can keep as many as you like. Every template and setting is available in both.
- Payment and refunds are handled by Apple, under the App Store’s terms and refund policy. A refunded purchase is removed from the app.
- Restoring it: Pro belongs to the Apple Account that bought it. On a new device, or after installing the app again, tap Restore Purchases in the widget list.
Your privacy
Widget has no account, and your widgets, photos and calendar events stay on your device. The privacy policy explains exactly what the app stores and where.
Availability
We may change, update or stop offering the app. The app is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including the loss of widgets stored in the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death, personal injury or fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep every right your local law gives you, and nothing in these terms takes those away.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use Widget after a change means you accept it.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not take away the protections of the law where you live.
